Terms of Service

By using Sprout Grader ("the service") you agree to these Terms of Service. The service is operated by Sprout Quiz and is intended for parents of primary school students (Primary 1–6) in Singapore. It supports grading of English and Chinese essays using AI and is designed as a supplementary feedback tool, not a substitute for teacher assessment.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering you confirm you are a parent or legal guardian using this service on behalf of your child. Each account may register up to 3 children.

AI-generated feedback

Grading scores and written feedback are generated by AI models (OpenAI GPT-4o for English; Alibaba Cloud and Baidu AI for Chinese) based on Singapore MOE Primary English and Chinese essay rubrics. Results are for guidance and practice purposes only and may not be perfectly accurate. We recommend parents review feedback before sharing with their child. AI scores do not represent official school assessments.

Subscriptions and usage limits

• Free — 2 gradings per month, resets on the 1st of each month
• Basic — SGD 1.99/month, 10 gradings per month
• Pro — SGD 2.99/month, 30 gradings per month

Subscriptions are billed monthly and may be cancelled at any time through the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until then. We do not provide refunds for partial months or unused gradings.

Acceptable use

This service must only be used to submit genuine handwritten essay images for educational feedback. You must not submit content that is offensive, illegal, or unrelated to educational purposes, or attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or abuse the grading service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated grading or feedback. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sprout Quiz shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
